The main reason many people made the upgrade to a whirlpool is the relaxing aspect. Not only the body, but the mind can also be affected by the calmness of the water and the effects of the bubbles. Cleaning  a Jetted Tub how easy or hard?

Whirlpool baths have got a bad reputation of having dirty pipes, but its not the pipes that are dirty its all the soap, skin hair oils that haven't got cleaned away and left to create a lovely environment for the bacteria to grow.

There are many manufactures out there and they all have there own experiences of building baths, many good reputable engineers have the pipes shaped in a bend so water will naturally drain down and not rest in the pipes. so any water residue of water will be left in the jet fixing which should be minimal and with a good ventilation in the bathroom should dry naturally.  This system does not stop the need to clean the bath you should still clean it after every use.

After Every USE

You can get sanitising tablets for the bath for after every use so after your bath just drop one in and run the system for roughly about 10-15 minutes after using the bath.

THE DEEP CLEAN

 You will have to do a deep clean with  a liquid or powder cleaner once a month following instruction carefully.

If you clean with the sanitising tablets and deep cleaning liquid regularly you'll not have do clean under the jets remove the covers and drains to get a supper clean bath.  If the Bath is really dirty or hasn't been cleaned in a long time it is recommended.

{Recommendation Pictures}

I have seen whirlpool blog cleaners suggesting dishwasher tablets and this is not recommended by manufactures because this could cause skin irritations if its not rinsed out properly.  This should also be noted for using bleach in the bath, if you have sensitive skin conditions this could really cause skin issues as your pours open when using the bath.

Can you use a bubble bath in whirlpool tubs?

Regular bubble baths are a bad idea, think of a foam party in your bathroom......

Will the foam damage the bath? It wont damage the shell of the bath  but if the foam gets into the electric it can cause issues, and break the bath.  also be noted that as it is advised against using bubble bath in whirlpool and air spas baths it may invalidate your warranty.

So what can be used in a whirlpool spa bath? Looking for low foam product are best if you must use bathing products but remember these can cause build up of soap scum in the pipes, and will need the sanitising tablets to remove the scum. This can be applied to most of bath bombs ( just remember the first time your bath was stained by a bath bomb) , with essential oils bath salts.  The bath may need a deep clean after these products and a major clean.

Epsom salts  - are safe but you need to look at the side of the bottles to make sure it is compatible for jetted systems, as they may contain oils that are not suitable. In General the pure ones are safe.

There are manufactures out there that supply whirlpool or jetted friendly products that are safe and easily removed from the tub. They have low foam bubble bath salts, bath milks, and they smell amazing.

Should i Buy a Whirlpool Spa Bath?

Considering the benefits of this bath, it’s hard to deny its impressive capabilities. That for ones has to be said, even if you think it isn’t for you. But ask yourself, do I deserve such a luxury in my home? The answer is always yes. Some may get more use out of it than others, and that is completely fine. As long as you gain from its use, it’s a worthy upgrade to have in our home, that’s a certainty.

The extravagance of having a whirlpool Spa Bath in your bathroom is now a reality. So let’s take a look at what this includes, and if it’s best suited for you.
